Pretty self-explanatory, basically what went down this week. I’ve maintained a weird relationship with photography. Growing up as a kid, I was terrible artistically, couldn’t draw worth shit, couldn’t play an instrument or any of that jazz. Not that long ago, I eventually stumbled into photography. Quickly I realized that in terms of visual creativity, photography (and thanks largely to the digital format) was something that was eas(ier) to accomplish. Well, in reality, I definitely don’t want to discount the work of well-seasoned and consistently good photographers out there, but for me personally I’ve always found the ability to take photos that I simply felt were pretty interesting and captivating. Whether one can do that consistently and maintain an inert instinct for being at the right place, at the right time, that’s a different story. At the end of the day, this is purely a hobby I guess, and the satisfaction that you derive yourself seems more than enough to keep going. Hong Kong has always presented itself as a great place to take photos, everything’s always changing, the same daily ritual will surely uncover some things you just never noticed. With such a vertically designed city, you can’t just look at the ground level. There’s always some shit going on over-heard.

Weather’s perfect for the tram, but once summer rolls around, pretty much death. Never picks up enough speed to get a decent wind circulating through the tram.

I met Jasper last year through a mutual friend at the Bape Heads Concert, we didn’t really talk or hang out much and then within the last few months we’ve started working together on more projects etc. Dude is probably the craziest sober guy I know to be honest. Those pics back in Taiwan of the Pink Amigo were yeh… that guy. Anyways, fast forward to the image above… he got a Tyvek wallet which has largely been documented as breathable, waterproof and above all-else tear resistant. Yeh I bet those claims to rest and ripped it. I am really the world’s strongest man no big deal. Dude has helped me out a ton and I repay it by fucking his wallet up albeit its a tiny tear and he did patch it up with some nice Freshjive stickers.
