Wearing many hats…

This is Jey, a man of many hats who coincidentally is wearing a hat we had just given him minutes prior to this photo. Tokyo via Hong Kong via the South of France, Jey Perie is our gateway to Japan. He’s helped hooked up some great content including Hue/Bebetan of Deluxe/Bedwin,Verbal of the TERIYAKI BOYZ(R) and an upcoming one with jeffstaple and Hiroshi Fujiwara. Perhaps thanks in part to his side gigs as a model which includes everything from Issey Miyake to WTAPS and yeh… adidas Originals, he offers an important personal touch that is often needed when dealing with people in Japan. The language barrier alone is daunting but I think you can alleviate some of these problems being face to face. But aside from that, his real money maker is selling diamonds… his card says it all, Diamond Slangin’, Japanese streetwear-wearin’ Hypebeast contributor. It seems everybody has more than one hustle and wears more than one hat… it’s a given. Seems only natural, streetwear hardly pays the bills and the most succesful have an inherent drive to want to continue their efforts over various platforms. Since you’re in a creative industry, sky’s the limit and being your own boss of your own project is just a shout away. Cleaning out the random pictures…

Jasper’s an Island kid for life, coconut water tasted a lot better than what I remember.

My boy Justin recently celebrated his birthday and we all pitched for a PS3.

I’m starting to get sketched out by these joints… Chinese love to cut corners (case in point toy and milk powder scandals in China). Makes me think what’s going into this cheap street food.

Seen this before but first time I saw it in person. The font is messed and they did it in foam as opposed to ballistic nylon. But for $10 HKD, what do you expect?
