Getting Shit Done…

getting-shit-done-has-never-felt-better-01

One of the quietest weekends in awhile… and to be frank it felt good to not hit the sauce for once on the weekend. Well technically I went for drinks on Sunday night but that was against my will and I did the bitch move of pouring out my JD on the rocks behind everybody’s back… but this was due to over-zealous servings from Eric who was pouring from the bottle haha.  But a good chunk of the weekend was spent working. Felt so god-damn good to get mad shit done. There was just this inherent sense of self-satisfaction that was different from the usual. I’ve got a few different things I’ve been working on, both Hypebeast and non-Hypebeast related and perhaps it was this new sense of variety that inevitably brought on a new heightened sense of accomplishment.

Friday night (to which these images are taken from) involved just a dinner in Jordan. I’ve sort of forgotten how many restaurants are in this area, especially around Temple Street. Tons of open-air places with tables set up as well as a prevalent Indian community. Jason and I felt like Indian food so as you would assume it would make sense to grab the flyers being handed out. Big mistake… we were soon hustled by three separate dudes from different restaurants, each proclaiming how delicious their curry was… in Cantonese nonetheless. They followed us for a block till we booked it down the next street in the opposite direction. They were getting pretty persistent, grabbing my arm and shit, it’s like you had just given money to only one pan-handler out of the lot. Anyways, after we shook them off we walked back down and picked something like Bombay Palace or something to that effect. Food was decent and cheaper than the other Indian places I had been to. After that we did a quick tour and Jason of course wanted dessert. Only recently have I realized the guy has an empty right leg, he eats and eats and eats. It’s friggin’ gross at times. Chung Kee is where we settled and this place is a pretty famous Chinese dessert spot, line-ups are the norm all the time. I settled for my timeless favorite, the black sesame soup but in an uncharacteristic move I got it served hot haha.
