Shameless interview plug, except it’s not really shameless ha. I met Chris this past summer in New York who incidentally enough has cracked the Internet streetwear blog realm in the past for his zany trip from frigid Winnipeg, Canada to the sunny confines of Los Angeles to do an interview with The Hundreds for a thesis paper. I wanted to read the paper but Chris said it was private business and I needed Bobby Hundreds to sign-off on it… never went that far though haha. After finishing school, Chris sought adventure in the industrywhich landed him in New York under the guidance and wing of a really good friend of mine, Andrew at 3sixteen. My first time meeting him was a bit awkward… walked into Self Edge NYC and saw him and immediately the life game bestowed upon me by Sesame Street popped into my head “One of these things (people) are not like the other…”. Of course it was Chris who was streetwear’d out, well not really hardcore prototypical, but the backwards fitted was a dead giveaway against the Self Edge NYC backdrop with the likes of Josh from Street Etiquette kicking around haha. But turns out Chris is a good guy (no surprise there, Canadians I tell ya) and his for learning is pretty damn good. As I chilled at SE, he was pretty inquisitive, asking questions and ultimately an easy way to get my respect with a desire to learn and get educated. Originally this wasn’t the plan to run this interview, instead he asked me to participate in his semi-regular playlist postings. But ultimately, this was a pretty fun interview/Q+A. epending on what interview you read, sometimes my tone and approach might be a bit different, like a Jekyll & Hyde type demeanor but I’m not fronting, I just think certain topics deserve reciprocal answer styles I guess. So yes I am an asshole and no I’m not necessarily some Internet loser… all the time haaaa.
Thanks to Chris for the opportunity, I appreciate it. Check the interview and website at LifeAfterMidnight.com (@LAMBlog) as well as follow Chris’ twitter @Chris_Watchorn.
