Jefford’s been a good buddy of mine and Hypebeast’s first-ever source of cheap, un-paid labor (aka intern)… I guess school wasn’t taking up enough of his time so he and some friends went the way of starting their own toy company, darkmatters. Pretty happy for the dude to take the plunge like that, it’s never easy starting something, well that’s not true, it’s easy to start something but finishing it is often much more difficult. No doubt the aesthetics of their first toy the NGA4 (named after the word for tooth in Chinese) isn’t going to be everybody’s cup of tea but I think the execution turned out pretty good.
