I’ve been meaning to post these up. Far from the average person’s cup of tea but I have a bit of an affinity for hiking boots. Yes, you look around Hong Kong and the only time I’ll need any sort of increased traction and “support” is hiking up the slope to Lan Kwai Fong as one friend puts it. But in all honesty, these are actually pretty handy in the rain thanks to the GORE-TEX lining and gusseted tongue. Anyways, Danner celebrated the opening of a new flagship store in Portland and with it came with limited edition boot, the 12021X. I’m feeling the tonal browns and the grain contrast between the leather choices. The shape sort of remind me of a WESCO-style boot (can I really refer to this style as WESCO, I’m actually thinking not) with the short toebox but apparently these are modeled after the original Mountain Light. But these still won’t displace my Danner Japan Mountain Light IIs as my favorite boot or footwear piece I own. Maybe I’ll post pics of that sometime… got some solid wear on those suckers.
These pics are definitely not as good as the ones I took for Hypebeast that can be seen here.
