Thank God for Evernote

If there is one good by-product of a new and longer commute (since I travel to an office now), it’s forcing yourself to be productive. This arduous journey has been made all the more palatable with Evernote which has really made note-taking and putting down thoughts easy. As the name may suggest, Evernote helps you take down notes and not just text, you can record audio and paste pictures for your own record keeping. The highlight of course is its ability to work relatively seamlessly between various computers and phones. So I can write something on my phone and re-edit it on any computer (you can edit it through the website as well).

I had previously given up on Evernote since my first Android experience with its app was pretty bad since the sync wasn’t all that good and editing capabilities were quite poor. But with such a huge base using the program, it comes as no surprise they’ve sorted it.

This blog got pretty boring and stagnant with just Link Dumps and Picture Dumps, so I felt the need to really start shaking it up. While I’ll still keep up with those, hopefully I can interject some more interesting content. The fact that my thoughts follow no real pattern in regards to a certain unifying theme (i.e. sports or fashion etc) scared me a bit but I guess at the end of the day they will mostly share something and that’s to invoke some sort dialogue or more in-depth thinking. I wrote the majority of this on my HTC Desire (Android)… but I realized that there’s a major bug in Evernote. If you sometimes edit on your phone, it doesn’t save properly which is a bummer cause I had some pretty long pieces written out.
