Every year when I go back, my mom tries to organize some sort of family trip. They’re usually these sort getaways that aren’t really far, usually somewhere within the province. This year we made a trip to Waterton National Park which I must concede, I knew little about. It’s located in the southwestern part of Alberta, and it’s essentially in an area where the plains transition into the mountains. It’s a bit of an anomaly in regards to tourism. Despite being in the mountains, it has virtually no tourism in the winter time and the season for travelers is in around May till early fall. The town itself is tiny, you could probably walk it within a few hours and the town is situated right on the shore of the Waterton Lakes which extends south of the 49th parallel into Montana.
Waterton is essentially the exact opposite of what I experience now which at times is extremely refreshing. It’s virtually impossible to achieve utter silence in Hong Kong and you’re often left wondering why you’re here in the first place amidst the utter chaos of one of the world’s most densely populated cities. But shit needs to get done so they say, so I’ll grind it out… for now.
My friend lent me his Sigma 10-20mm and I need to know who ACTUALLY uses it at the 10mm (16mm on my 50D) focal range. It’s straight up unusable and in regards to composition, it’s a nightmare.
