…begins in less than 7 hours. Been spending a ton of time packing and my efforts show I guess haha. Luckily I’m flying with Papa Kan and he’s riding business so that box on the bottom has his name on it. The virtues of working an Internet job give you the opportunity to work pretty much anywhere in the world as long as you have an Internet connection. But on that same note, you’re always needing to be connected and given a job within the media industry, there’s always some shit going on you have to keep up-to-date on. Regardless of the time of day, somebody, somewhere is just waking up and checking their first email of the day.
First up on the agenda is a week in Vancouver. Can’t really hate on Vancouver, but you can hate on the fact that everything in Canada closes so early haha. To be honest regardless of where I went, it’s good to get out of Hong Kong. This time of the year is terrible, weather is super humid and well you can never escape the hordes of people. That in itself gives me the feeling I’m about to lose it and go postal whenever I leave my house. After Vancouver, I’m hitting the hometown Edmonton and issuing E-Town Beatdowns… I still have a ton of friends kicking around but most importantly, haven’t seen the Grandma and the Mama Bear for a long ass time, over a year or so. It’s been awhile since my whole immediate fam has been together and seeing as I’m out in HK pretty much by myself, this is a pretty rare opportunity. I have New York City penciled in for mid August and then tentatively I’m heading to Las Vegas for the end of the month of August/beginning of September… should be good to see some and meet the countless heads I’ve only ever corresponded on via email.
