A few days ago, we made the trek out to one of Hong Kong’s nicer areas/districts, Stanley. With Onitsuka Tiger’s Shuhei Numata looking towards mother nature and Skipjack tuna’s influence on Japanese culture as a backdrop to the collection, we felt that a sea-side shoot was appropriate. It’s pretty hard shooting fall/winter in the dead of summer, the original scene is definitely more reflective of the images seen here rather than the slightly darker and more somber images seen in the subsequent feature we did. Despite all the urban mayhem that lies within Hong Kong, there are some decent havens that let you get away… they’re just hella far and pretty much reserved for the ballers haha.
