For most “streetwear” shoppers both locally and from out-of-town, Gastown is often on the list of destinations to hit up. I showed up a little later on a Sunday around 6:00 pm as things were all sort of closing up so I didn’t hit up the usual suspects in ALIFE, Livestock, Goodfoot, Stussy, Roden Gray and Dutil etc. With its own weird dynamic of the homeless meets the tourist, various gift shops, bars and niche stores are all mixed in together as one. If you want to know why it’s called Gastown, no clue so I’ll leave it in the hands of the ol’ trusty Wikipedia.

Started the day with a butter chicken sausage omelet with a side of lamb sausage at The Locus, pretty fuggin’ good.

The iconic Gastown Steam Clock… people seem to love to gather around every 15 minutes to watch it blow its steam… pause

Not sure why this necessitated three separate pictures haha

Went to this dinner service at a place called The Irish Heather. Basically, they have this Long Table Series in which they post-up a menu that correlates with a particular day (no choices really) and you reserve a spot. They serve you a meal paired with a particular beer on a long-ass 40-person table.
